For a few months my homegirl has been dating this guy and after like I guess abt 4 months, they've decided to be exclusive. So now they've been talking about taking off the condom... OK OK... that's not it.. it's already happened.. they caught the vapors and it was on.. with no bag. My girl is in healthcare.. sees all types of ills, so she's nervous.. I mean we've all got caught up in the heat of the moment rite... so she's like.. "listen, we both have pasts.. it's no secret... let's be safe.. let's get tested together" So he's like.. "OK!" He's confident.. makes her feel good.. she REALLY likes this dude. So they go for their testing.. TOGETHER... When it's results time, he goes to his room, she goes to hers.. Doc said.. everything's checked 'n clear.. she of course is elated.. so she waited for him in the waiting area.. He comes out, sees her, smiles and says everything is good.. Great!... After a few days he calls and says... "Look we've got to talk." So my girl, nervous, is like "OK.. let's meet." When they hook up homeboy says " I didn't want to say anything before, I needed a few days. But um, I have herpes." Of course my girl is shocked.. pissy and and asks "Did u know b/4 we got tested?".. "NO" is his response.... he never tested b/4......... So, #1: WHAT WOULD U DO...STAY OR GO?
and #2: If the roles were reversed.....would you tell your partner?
OK.. so this one was a bit out there, considering many folks are educated abt. STDs and signs and ish... but yea.. he knew.. went to the doc b/4.. decided not to use a condom anyway, cause w/ prescription medication and no outbreak, less of a chance to spread.. But she stayed. She's in love, they're in love and definitely happy together. Telling however is the way to go.. choices are definitely empowering.
